How can the whole fg commissioning 15km road project?? This road is about 35km from Apo to Karshi and they are commissioning 15km of it done? I think this is madness

Though linked to the OSEX by WASA Junction, the Apo Karshi road is an entirely different project.

The OSEX, on full development, will through Kuje to connect with the Federal Highway A2 ( Abuja/Lokoja expressway) in Gwagwalada. The project is being developed in stages. What was commissioned today is the 15km stretch of the left hand service carriageway from Ring road 1 (Apo interchange) to Wasa junction.

Look at their fat cheeks and body consuming the nations wealth like tomorrow no dey ,less important people with no dignity

- The OLD ROAD WAS CONSTRUCTED DURING AWOLOWO DAYS- And Is Now A Death Trap-with just one Lane but due to Increase in Population,We need Four Lanes.
-The New Road 🛣️ was once Started late last year 2024,but is now abandoned Completely.
-People Are Suffering and Dying On this Road.
The Old Road here has about One Million Port-holes and how can people lives here, without casualties on Daily Basis

That Apo Wasa corridor is a miraculous intervention for everyone around Kabusa - Takushara -Wasa- Waru- Apo resettlement- Apo NEPA axis. If you know how many hours of traffic jam people have had to endure while going home every night, you would us to praise Wike. At the moment, you can drive on a tarred road from Lugbe through Pyakasa and burst out at Kabusa and onward to Apo Mechanic village.
It's a full set of roads. The present minister of the FCTA has painstakingly visited the interior roads of the Capital city, building roads, bridges and drainage systems.
GIVE THE MAN HIS FLOWERS. ALSO, LET'S TO ROUNDLY CONDEMN THE LAST MINISTER OF THE FCTA UNDER BUHARI FOR DOING NOTHING IN 8 YEARS.

That is the role of sanctions. Sanctions work when transport and insurance don't want to touch you.

So sanctions will no longer work on Iran with this project and Iran will become a regional super power.

Israel is an enemy to Iran.

If this project succeed, the existence of Israel in the region is threatened. When you put away the Bible or the Torah, this current Israel is not the Israel of Judea and Sunmeria in those books. This is a settlement, a colony and an occupation of Arabs. It is not different from what happened in South Africa. And people governing this settlement they named Israel are not from the middle east, they are white people from East Europe from countries like Russia, Ukraine, Romania etc. They have no connection to that land or ancient Hebrews. So this is a test of character on the Chinese, will they fold when Iran gets invaded? Or US strategy is to disturb the project without going to war?

If there will be strikes on Iran every 6 months by Israel, then they will effectively disturb the project.

The "nuclear bomb" story is a hoax. Iran needs unclear energy to power this project. Israel is bombing civilian nuclear fissle material to delay the project and hope America comes in and end the project.

So this is the fundamental truth. Everything else is just propaganda.

See, nothing government will do that wont be criticized. Isn't the government duties to provide good roads again? That's their job. Let's give accolades when due.

True, the cost of living is high and it's the government's duty to look into it. If these roads wasnt done, wouldn't we still complain?

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, and his dedicated team for the successful completion and delivery of 17 vital infrastructure projects within the FCT to commemorate his second year in office.

The commendation came during the commissioning of the 15-kilometer left-hand service carriageway of the Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX), stretching from Ring Road I to Wasa Junction in Abuja.

President Tinubu, who was represented at the commissioning ceremony by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio also applauded the FCT Minister for his unwavering commitment to providing essential infrastructure that positively impacts the lives of FCT residents.

He described the OSEX as Abuja’s crucial transport backbone, emphasizing its role in connecting the city center to rapidly expanding districts such as Apo, Lokogoma, Gudu, Wumba, and Wasa, thereby significantly enhancing urban mobility.

"This road, stretching from Ring Road I all the way to Wasa Junction, is a significant addition to the road networks in the heart of Abuja. This vital infrastructure demonstrates our commitment to sustainable urban development, enhanced mobility, and improved quality of life for the people of the FCT and by extension, to all Nigerians and visitors alike", President Tinubu stated.

The President also praised the impressive quality of work on the OSEX and acknowledged the Minister's efforts to relocate the Apo Mechanic Village traders, expressing confidence that the exercise would be brought to a successful conclusion.

He further commended the surrounding communities for their patience and during the construction phase, urging FCT residents to protect the new infrastructure.

“I commend the FCT istration led by the Hon. Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike and the contractor, Messrs CGC Nigeria Limited for the impressive feat and quality of work. Through Wike’s leadership, uncompleted projects have been reactivated and delivered with discipline, quality and timeously. Like the Minister described, they had to cut through the rock for 5 kilometers in order to bring about this road.

“The Minister has also promised the mechanic village that has been here since 1991, that they will be relocated and they said they are happy. They expressed it by answering it. If there is something I know about you; it’s the fact that you don’t like anybody breaking agreements. Agreement is agreement. So, today you have an agreement with the good people of the FCT. Remain focused and continue to deliver. Nobody will you for the way you answered your critics. They will only you for the legacies you are leaving on ground”, the President added.

Speaking earlier, the FCT Minister Barrister Nyesom Wike expressed gratitude for President Tinubu's personal commitment and presence at the commissioning of completed projects in the FCT.

He reaffirmed the FCT istration's dedication to completing all ongoing projects in line with the President's Renewed Hope Agenda, crediting the from the President and the National Assembly for the successes achieved thus far.

Barrister Wike stated that the OSEX road project has already improved connectivity within the FCT, allowing easier access from Wasa to Takushara and Ketti, in the Abuja Municipal Area Council.

While committing to the dualisation of the main OSEX carriageways, the FCT Minister equally pledged to personally supervise and ensure the relocation of the Apo Mechanic Village along the road corridor.


He said, "Mr. President, as I speak to you, where we are sitting now, we are going to dualize this road to finally address anything about traffic in this area. Secondly, we have told the Mechanic Village; they said since 2011, they have promised them they will relocate them. Ours is not a promise. Ours is that we are going to do it. I will supervise it, I will chair the relocation"

Tbh, I've had a blase attitude toward Wike in the past while he was in charge of Rivers State, BUT I've read a lot of positive comments about Nyesom Wike from the FCT residents who say he's literally the best ever FCT Minister. How can you call the president to come and commission the left side lane of a 15km road? What happens to the right hand lane? Is the plan to abandon that lane or complete it in the 2nd Tenure? This is simply ridiculous!!!

No wonder the President delegated the commissioning to the Parliamentary Jester Aka Natasha Bobo. A joker commissioning a joke!!!

It's about quantity....17 projects completed .... that will impress the masses. Do you want him to wait until the road is completed for him to commission it? That will go on record that he commissioned only one project and the masses will say he's not performing . But as we see here ...same road ... he's commissioning 15 Km of the left side carriageway...next week he will commission the right side ...three month later start all over again for the 15 Km..

This road is the most important of Wike’s achievements since he became minister of the FCT. Even his enemies will testify to that. The kind of traffic problems this road solved is monumental.
