This line of thinking is something that should really be encouraged. My brother is a civil engineer and for years and years and he's been saying he does not understand why we only build houses with cement blocks. In the US and Canada, lumber (wood) is the major component in residential houses, even though the US experiences hurricanes.
I hope the FG is serious about this, as it might be a game changer for low cost housing.

You see this Lagos real estate ehn… it can either be your biggest win or your worst mistake.
Let me share a quick story that could save someone reading this:
So this man (let’s call him Mr. T) was ready to buy land. He’d been saving for over 4 years, and finally decided it was time to “secure the bag.”
He met some agents through a WhatsApp group who claimed to have a 3 bedroom duplex at a crazy good price in the Ibeju-Lekki axis.
They took him for inspection, showed him the land, gave him stories about how the documents were “processing” and that many buyers were
already on standby.
They pressured him to pay immediately.
₦15M. Upfront. No questions.
Mr. T almost sent the money, until one thing stopped him.
He ed what someone told him:
“Any land without a verified title or clear documentation is a trap.”
That’s when he reached out to someone to help him double-check.

And guess what?
The so-called “distress land” was already flagged.
No proper title.
Already under dispute.
Omo-onile drama loading.
If he had paid, that ₦15M would’ve gone just like that.

Today, Mr. T is a proud houseowner of a verified house with Governor’s

Just clean property and peace of mind.
